Weekly Food Bank (June Week 4 – 2026)

No one should go home to an empty fridge.

On the 26th of June, Our Community Cares’ (OCC) weekly food bank opened its doors to our food club members once again.
Our food pantry was stocked with a whole assortment of wonderful ingredients that someone could easily create a meal out of; wholemeal bread, sauce packs and even chicken fillets. There were even easy, ready-made meals like pies or pasta, for food members that wanted a simple meal once in the safety of their homes.

With drinks such as apple juice and Lucozade available, food club members weren’t leaving dehydrated especially in the scorching weather from that week. Options, for example, cereal and fruits (oranges and strawberries) gave people breakfast options or a meal that didn’t require the use of heat.

Every successful food pantry is proof that OCC will continue to alleviate the burden of the community by making food accessible to those who need it! We hope to see you again, next week!
